On an endless search to ride, or shoot, the perfect wave.
I grew up in Amityville (yes, THAT Amityville), NY; a small quiet town nestled against the Great South Bay on the south shore of Long Island. I have been surfing for about 14 years, and started in photography in the spring of 2014. I am a proud graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD with a degree in Oceanography, and served 6 years on active duty before leaving the Navy. I am currently only a part time surfer and photographer, doing my surfing and shooting in my free time when the Gulf of Mexico isn’t as flat as a pancake. I was first drawn to nature and landscape photography, but soon decided to try my hand at surf photography and quickly realized it was the perfect combination of two things I enjoyed most. Having always lived near the water, or even on a ship at sea, I have a deep fondness and respect for the ocean and nature. In my photos I attempts to capture the moments where the joy of surfing blends with the beauty of nature.
